Mark Gregston Heartlight Ministries

In 1989, Mark and his wife Jan opened a larger residential program, Heartland Christian Boarding program serving troubled teens. Mark, his wife Jan, and a team of professional counselors Their involvement also with Young Life moved them to open their home to work with teens who were struggling through crisis family problems. This sparked the idea for a larger residential program for teens with professional counselors and caring mentors. So in 1989, Mark and his wife Jan moved to East Texas, where they started Heartlight residential counseling for teens. Since then, Heartlight has helped several thousand struggling teenagers turn away from negative motivations and peers toward a more positive and productive outlook on life.

Heartlight’s showcase building is the 11,000 square foot Conference Center which houses the Heartlight offices and provides a setting for counseling, programs, special meals, performances, and retreats. The modern log-exterior building located at the center of the campus adds to the overall relaxed atmosphere of Heartlight.
